Waters have broken!

Yes, it's true! Our Rapid Sport is due to be born tomorrow!

Here's hoping the Czechoslovakians have had a great relaxing weekend and are fired up and ready for a productive week ahead at the factory.

Yes, I know I'm rather sad!

PS

Looking at other posts about the rapid not being seen out and about much, I must add that until we went to our Skoda dealer to look at cars, we didn't even realise the rapid existed. I was only aware of the Fabia, Octavia and Yeti.

I think if the Rapid had more advertising to promote the incredible boot size weighed against the Polo ish sized body, more would be seen on the roads.

Mind you, it's a fairly new model. I was one of the first to get a VW UP! During my ownership, I hardly saw any. Two years down the road, I'm seeing them everywhere.

I expect the same will happen to the Rapid.

See Ya fellow rapid people.

On the size thing, I had trouble at the dealer distinguishing the Rapid and Octavia. Most of the time I had to look at the rear of the car for the badges.

Hardly Polo size though, and that's not far behind the the Golf these days.

The only way I can tell if it's an Octavia is it's got reflectors in the rear bumper and the Rapid hasn't.

The front has an easy tell too. Octavias have a small body-coloured panel strip between the grille and the lights, on a Rapid the lights are directly next to the grille.

Sode view the octavia has a strip of metal at rear door next to side window   Rapid doesn't.

Rear view exact same other than baging an reflectors

Side view the Octy has a stripof metal at rear doos next to side window (doors are longer)   Rapid hasn't

Rear view same other than badging and reflectors.
