Are my floor matts for a left hand drive?

Featured Replies

Have a look at the picture - I think I've ordered the wrong bit!

Look like LHD

Yeah logo nearest door, studs only on driver side, they are LHD mats for sure.

Oops.

That's what I get from ordering from the Czech Republic without thinking things through! Cheers chaps.....

Anybody in Europe fancy a set of matts?!

Freebie? Then yes please :D

You could use them by drilling two holes in the right mat and using a couple of filing clips from a stationery shop.

They'll be available cheap, but I suspect shipping costs will make it cheaper for me to chuck them...

The rear mats will still be the same regardless of LHD/RHD, you may even be able to modify the front LHD passenger mat to fit the drivers side.

Get your car converted, or buy a LHD car.

Saves chucking the mats.

I know, but I'm presuming you can't buy just the fronts to complete the set?

I am also in a silly mood today, forgive me. :p

My mats were only £27.00 from my Skoda dealership, were these considerably cheaper than that flown in from the Czech Republic?

These cost £24ish and are the 'luxury' matts that I can only find for £45 + P&P here. Part number is 1ST061270A

The mats can be bought as single items, but it´s cheaper to buy a set (!).

I think you´re right - the cheapest shipping for a set of mats from UK to DK is £14-ish.

Ooo, I shall ring TPS and see how much the front two only are.

You only need the rh front mat. Or just drill two holes in the rh mat. The fixing is there to stop the mat riding up under the pedals. This can be inconvenient if one needs to apply the brakes!

Turn them upside down then they will fit

The other thing you could do is visit your local carpet shop, most places make runners out of old scraps of carpet for very little, I'm sure they would have no problem taking the surplus parts off so they fit and re-binding them, they could even bind the edges a different colour if you wanted.
