Aux input

Featured Replies

Hi,

newbie octy elegence fl owner, seems like a great forum. Loads of useful info. Picked up my car today, and have been trying out all the buttons and switches. Tried to hook my phone to play mp3 via aux in jack plug in the arm rest, but it seems that the jack part of the socket is missing? There's no metal contact at all when i push my 3.5mm jack aux cable in the hole, it just wobbles around. It's as though the metal part of the socket has been pushed or has fallen down into the armrest trim.

Wondered if anybody has had the similar problem? To investigate further i've tried to remove the plastic cover part of the socket without success. Not sure if this can be prised out or I will need to dismantle the arm rest.

Any help appreciated,

Thanks

I've known other members' cars where it has fallen down, relatively easily put back if you remove the rear heater controls...
