Hi, brought my fabia a year ago looked complete standard no history and it's been brilliant no problems what so ever , eny way to the point my m8s se is mapped at 170bhp and he recons mine must of been mapped cuz we had a little race n was on par with him all the way there is power all the way to 4000 to 4500rpm eny one think it wold be mapped???

if your m8's is 170bhp and u stuck with it then yes

Two ways to be really sure if the car is mapped,

1) the obvious one, get the car on a rolling road and see the figures.

2) hook up VCDS and look at the realtime measuring blocks for boost and fuelling whilst giving the car some beans, repeat number 2 on your friends car and compare.

It is possible for a non remapped one to keep up with a mapped one, to many factors can influence the outcome such as gear change points and how quick the drivers are at changing gear.

If it's still pulling strong from 3,000-4,500 RPM then I would say yes it's more than likely mapped
