Fiscon Removal

Featured Replies

Hi all. Just wondered if anyone had attempted to remove a Fiscon unit from an Octy before?

A have a 2011 Octavia vRS that is due to be returned soon and not being able to get the Multi Function steering wheel fitted on my spec of car meant I had no Bluetooth hands free.

I bought a Fiscon unit, at a cost of £400+, and had it installed at a place in Loughborough that do not appear to be trading some three years or so later.

Does anyone know if the removal of this is a simple process? Does it need any VAGCOM recoding?

If it's tricky, does anyone know a local car electronics place that could do this for me pretty cheap? I live in Anslow nr Burton on Trent but could also get it to Derby or any other place close by in the Midlands.

Thanks a lot [emoji2]

Maybe someone in the mkII forum could help?

Moved to correct forum.

Removal will depend on where the unit has been placed, it could be anywhere. If you know where it is then removal relatively  straight forward, otherwise you'll be taking the dash apart to find it. The Microphone is usually glued into the upper interior light, you could trace the wire back to the control box.

Coding will not be required, since none would have been done to fit the unit.

it should just unplug, not a big job.
