So, at the weekend I collected a bit of a rare machine, don't see many of these around and have fancied one for a while...53 plate with just 84k. Not much happening immediately but plans include handling mods and Shark Stage 1 to begin with.

Yeti_man, what setup did you have? I was looking at the Shark stage 1 and understand both the MK1 vRS and the 1.8T 4x4 both map straight to 205 BHP?! If so, that's a pretty sweet result..150bhp to 205bhp and 210nm to 330nm.

I had Koni sport dampers and Eibach springs with 312mm OE VRS disks and Ferodo pads. I had a very decent FMIC with TIP and various other engine upgrades inc custom exhaust from the turbo back with a 200 cell sports cat and shielded open cone intake (cant recall which one). R32 ARB's also which iirc needed some slight adaption of the rear spare wheel well for fitment at the rear. It had a Jabba remap on it as Shark didn't even exist back then. The Jabba map was very good and achieved 238bhp and similar torque iirc on reliable rollers It rode on 17" VRS spiders. Great car. Should have kept it and done a big turbo conversion on it with hindsight, as it put the power down so well compared to the mk2 VRS I moved too after that.

 

 

 

 

Thanks for that, it's supposed to be a sensible car for the missus but I've fancied one for a while. I'll never get rid of my MK1 Fabia vRS so it cannot replace that...it'll have to replace SWIMBOs car and I guess I'll just have to let her use mine when I want to use hers...

Yes, I think it does! This is called Admiral Blue, the "usual" choice of colour being Black, Silver or Stone Grey typically.

Thanks Richard, I thought about taking it round Brands instead of the Fabia but realistically, it has no handling mods and even with 4x4, I am not sure if it would be better than a lightly modded Fabia vRS...
