Only drove my car away from the showroom on 29th September……they put a tax disc holder in the windscreen, but the disc arrived after 1st October so haven't bothered with it. Must get rid of the holder, just so used to having one there I forget every time I get in the car!

I took mine out first thing in the morning on the 1st. Asking around nobody else I know has bothered! 

 

I don't understand the reportedly-widespread panic and ignorance about all this.

 

I don't understand this either! Everything is exactly the same apart from the fact no disc is issued. Unless people browsing the DVLA site was enough to crash it?
