Hi - Introduction

Hi  - I did not think I would need to join a forum for a relatively new car but I can see there is a wealth of information here - and I am learning no matter the age of the car these sites are useful.

In my case, my 12 month old yeti won't start...the dash instrument pod has no power (or is broken) - engine turns over, fires, but then stops running after 1 second (presumably because the ECU cannot see the display)..I'll post in the YETI section in case anyone has any pointers...(Skoda  Assistance (AA) came and it will be relayed to the dealers as soon as I can get it booked in).

Welcome to Briskoda. I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having. Yes, it would be a good idea to repost in the Yeti forum to see if anyone can offer advice. Please let us know when your car is fixed and what the problem was since it may help anyone else in a similar situation.

Not a great way to start your time in this forum.

But welcome and I hope it gets fixed PDQ.

PS: the ones that look like stormtrooper helmets are the white Fiat 500's and now the Audi A1's. IMO.

Yes - those cars are indeed both helmet-like....but I think you'll find these guys needed something bigger

Off topic I know - but...I drive one of these...and get a bit of stick from a couple of mates...I don't however wear the starwars gear

(that's not to say I don't fully respect the rights of grown men, and women, to dress up however they feel comfortable).

BTW - I should add the Yeti has sprung back into life this evening  - disturbance in the force perhaps...or the "Return of the Yeti"..when I get to the bottom of it I'll post in the Yeti section

I think a dealer visit will yield some more diagnostic info.
