Skoda assist - quick question

Featured Replies

I understand this lasts the first 3 years of the car whilst it's under warranty.

Does it transfer with the car as I have bought a 2 year old Yeti (12 plate) and I'm not sure if that means I'm covered if I have any problems.

I'm already an AA member so if I can use skoda assist would I better calling the skoda number over my AA number ?

If its under 3 years old its covered by the AA ,but if its registered as a used car when brought you would not get parts replaced at the road side it would have to go to a dealer this is because

a used car warranty is under written by some one else, in your case always call the Skoda Assist no it has its own dedicated call centre , you could suspend your personal membership until the skoda assist runs out that is if you have no other vehicles.

Yes it transfers to you.

If you ring the Skoda Assist number you should get a Skoda specialist with specialist equipment come out to you. You won't get that if you ring your normal membership number.

If only that were true.

I had the EML light come on a few week ago and he read the fault and then cleared it.

I took it for a run and all was OK but the dealer could not do anything under warranty because the fault code was no longer there.

The AA man did admit to it being his fault but that didn't help me as the car was only 1 week away from it's 2nd birthday and with the mileage that ment the warranty would end.

If you have any issues don't let them clear the codes.
