Power loss on 130pd ASZ

Featured Replies

Hi

I am new to the forum so apologies for my first post been one asking for help.

When the care is cold it has no power what so ever and is as if it is running without turbo.  When it is warm, most of the time it is fine but occasionally it will not pull at all, used to pull from 1300rpm right the way through the rev band.  The car is only used for long runs between Huddersfield and Coventry 4 times a week and has done 240K miles and other than the lack of power occasionally its going strong just really annoying!

Are there any suggestions as to what the issues would be?  I have read regarding the turbo vanes sticking but this seems to produce overboost rather than none at all.

Any help would be appreciated as in the last 10 years it has cost me nothing except regular servicing.

Thanks

Chris

Overboost, followed by no boost when it drops into limp mode.  Try cycling the ignition, check the MAF, vacuum pipes, actuator on the turbo.  Could also be the CTS.

Start with a scan for fault codes and take it from there.

fuel filter?
