Yes, its the mark of the lowest level rep :) "We're obliged to provide you a company car, but you're not really important enough, so have an Insignia."

Insignia VXR,

What wonderful used bargain can be had on this performance car.

2.8T V6 AWD

& what a hoot to drive, the Insignia VXR Sports Tourer is pretty good and useful IME.

Cars purchased with real money by Motability Finance & Leased to Motability Customers for 3 & 5 Years.

Then sold at Auction after 3 Years.

Bit harsh for the 5 year lease users. What do they do for the final 2 years...?

Is the Astra GTC significantly different from the present 5 door Astra?

My daughter uses these 5 door Astras at work

They have had many problems with them and are awful to drive IHO

I ask because I know someone who is getting a GTC as a company car

When I mentioned my daughter's experience of the 5 door Astra, he was very quick to say that the GTC was a completely different car and could, therefore, not be a comparison

Thoughts?

Re Mobility.

No idea of post #28 is just supposed to be funny or a serious question.

The leases are 3 years normally, you sign over your DLA Mobility Payment for 3 years..

Where someone may have spent lots on having a car Adapted for their needs, possibly several thousand pounds

or used a Motability Grant to, they may go for a 5 year lease & sign to pay for 5 years.

Obviously the Warranty is in place for the time they are the vehicles keeper,

& Motability Own the car for the 3 or 5 years then sell it

No Suppliers Buy Back anymore.

But the Person that was Leasing might opt to buy the vehicle.

Hyundai and Kia warranties are transferable:) win win , I've got skoda , vw , seat and hyundai on my drive and I know which one is best , it's the vw then the skoda with the seat very close but the hyundai is very close to the skoda the plastics are more plastically but other than that it drives as well as all of the above for 1/2 the price

Difficult to compare like that i guess. Different models isnt it.

Example. The octavia is known to be better built than the fabia, but is still a skoda. So it depends which models you have as to how they compare.

If you get me? Am i even making sense? Hsha.

In NZ "Euro" cars have a reputation for being unreliable compared to Japanese.

I suspect this is because most of the Japanese cars don't have half as many features to go wrong, and parts are cheaper and closer.

Also cars are kept much longer here and hold their value longer. Maybe because they don't salt the roads, so rust is less of an issue.

Lifetime warranty was never transferable, and AFAIU didn't default to 60k/3 years meaning 12 month old used only had the network Q 1 year warranty if a vauxhall dealer, and nothing if elsewhere which made used vauxhalls unsellable

Bought a 3yr warranty with the Honda when it was 4yr old. 7yr warranty (with a years gap) unlimited mileage.

I've no doubt there will be caveats but don't they all.
