Can anyone direct me to the fuse for the heating aspect of the mirrors on a MK2 vRS. Electric adjustment works fine, knob is at the heating symbol but doesn't seem to clear, checked manual but couldn't find anything pertenant.

No the switch is totally separate to the rear demister.

Even with rear screen on - Nowt !!

If its not the fuse it could be the element in the glass. You can rule this in or out by removing the glass, and putting a multimeter across the heating terminals to check for voltage across them, with the ignition and heater switch on obviously. Also does the passenger side work?

I think the fuse is part of the same circuit as the rear window demister so its unlikely to be that if that works.

Are you turning the knob far enough round? mine has to be in the"quarter to nine" position to work.

As above - has to be turned through 180 degrees from the usual position between the mirror setting position.

As origionally posted "knob is at the heating symbol" , 180 degs from the off position between L/H and R/H.

For mine to work it has to be turned past the "Heating symbol" to work,if you line it up with the symbol it doesnt work.
