Is it possible to remove the annoying bulb warning icon found on the dash board permanently, especially when fitting canbus error LEDs?

 

No.

 

The only way to get rid of that warning after fitting LED lights is to have a resistor wired in parallel with the replacement LED to replicate the resistance of a filament bulb.  

Some/most bulb monitoring warnings can be disabled, certainly on the Mk2 Octy and later cars. Though it is not always straightforward, depends if the particular BCM details are already in VCDS database.

Hmmm I was wondering about this too, as I want to replace most of my bulbs with LED bulbs and don't really like the idea of resistors, it just seems like a bodge...  There is no way to 're-learn' resistance values of bulbs??
