Done something silly

Featured Replies

Been playing around and updating my Columbus and thought I would try and fix a niggling fault with mt bluetooth module

Whenver I san with VCDS it comes up under 77 module not coded

Did a search and found out that although I thought I had coded it and it works perfectly perhaps I hadnt coded it correctly in the Can Gateway .So following a read though I found on another forum I made some changes I thought were logical and they didnt work

I took a pic with my phone of the setting changes I made and the original long coded but I have changed them all back and now how the following error

First place to look would be the installation list in 19-CAN gateway to make sure only controllers fitted are ticked and that all fitted controllers (i.e. 77-Telephone) are ticked.

Check that and we'll go from there.

Even easier option - look in your c:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug\CodingLog.txt file and every change you made is documented - just reverse the changes.

Simples :)

Many Thanks , think sheer panic had taken over ! I had turned off the steering wheel

Got a low battery now and still have telephone faults (although as I said its working fine)

Have you ticked the option for three button keypad installed in 77?  I'm sure I got your second error when I did that thinking it was the steering control for the phone (its actually some kind of overhead telephone unit found in some cars).

The first is probably due to a missing wire for the left sound channel from the BT module to the radio.  Its missing from older harnesses and needs to added manually if you want bluetooth streaming in stereo with these newer modules.

Learnt something new today ^ but always save a full scan anyway before carrying out any changes.

Not getting this option coming up , think the module isn't coded properly

Are you able to access the long coding for module 77 ok?

Yes but no options

I'll do a screen print when I can

Double post sorry.

Thats odd mate. There should be about 10 or 11 bytes in the "coding 07" menu. The screen print should help.
