Hi. The small hinged metal cap, under the fuel filler cap, has fallen into the tank when I put the nozzle in to fill up. Can anyone tell me if this will block the fuel line and is there any access to the tank to retrieve the cap?.

I was also wondering if there was any sort of filter in the fuel filler neck that may have caught the cap?

Thanks, any help appreciated

There is away to access the fuel tank is to lift the back seats and remove the fuel pump.. You get direct access to the fuel from there but could be tricky to retrieve the cap. Might be a good idea to run the fuel low before you attempt.

Yeah and then he could maybe try a magnet on a piece of wire to get the metal flap out. Assuming the disc is magnetic of course. If it's stainless steel it might not be. The magnet won't stick to the tank because the tank is plastic.
