Featured Replies

Whats the cheapest mod anyones ever done that they are actually proud of :) stopped next to a taxi today he had about 20 12v plug ins all over the place, wooden seat beads the lot ! haha

Anyone?

3.5mm jack to tape adaptor so I can play MP3s off my phone through the original Skoda Symphony cassette deck. £1 from,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Poundland :D

Polo aerial, £10 and looks great!

Happiest with having fitted an Extra windscreen washer bottle & nozzle which was free from a scrap car. 'Much Cheapness'

Instead of having to brake test tailgaters, i just wash my windscreen,  and they often get the clue.

Diy aux in - free. Or £50-80 from BMW. No brainer.

Oh, or swapping from 18s to 17s for better comfort with no real impact on handling. Again, free.

Planning this mod for the Clio! Best mod I've done on it that was cheapest was putting a new valve cap on a tyre or painting the rear drums

Pikey wheelarch mod on my old Fabia vRS cost around £3 i think including the black paint for it....  Shortening the gearstick shaft in the Fabia vRS (Cost nowt as i already had the pipe cutter).... Replacing the DRL bulbs in the Superb with LED bulbs for around £17 which are much brighter than the OEM bulbs.... And the Skoda drinks holder phone/ipod holder originally for the Octavia but also fits in my Superb as it has the same drinks holders in the front. Cost from dealer..... £6.30

The Team Heko one's are about the most popular ones. I had them on my Fabia vRS when i had it. Only cost about £40 for a set of four.

A/C unit 'Off' mod.

Cost nowt and worked

Reading the "Racing and Advanced Driving" subforum. It's made me both faster and safer!

Hammerited the brake calipers

Black Hammerite on the rear drums.

Sooo much better than the half finished primer look they get from the factory

Mine are silver :)

Sprayed the front valance on my first car(fiesta mk1) with black paint

Sprayed the grill on my mk1 Seat Ibiza silver (Facelifted grill had a mesh insert part and this is what I sprayed silver)

Swapping the orange indicator lenses on my Fiat punto for white ones off my mates one after it was written off....

Fitting the alloys I had on my first mk1 fabia (bought as a wheel and tyre deal and fitted in 2 hours by myself using the standard jack and wheel brace)...

I got one of these too, but I put the outlet pipe into the carburettor ( ok so it was a while back ) and filled the washer bottle with Redex. Press the button and Voila, the tailgater is instantly disappeared into thick white smoke.

I couldnt possibly recommend this though.
