porshe calipers not lcr ones

Featured Replies

Ok, so it appears the brembos i bought are not infact lcr ones but porsche 993 turbo fronts. Anyone else running these as i now need some new pads as the ds2500's i bought were bought for cupra r brembos not 993 ones. Any info on these calipers would be appreciated. Tia.

Porsche Calipers are monobloc ie machined out of one piece of metal. Lighter and more rigid than LCR Brembos. The correct ones that you need are 996 rears and are part numbers 996.352.421 and 996.352.422 they can be fitted with OEM 312 discs and custom carriers from Dave Brown of Vagbremtechnic. Dave can also supply Ferrodo DS2500 pads to suit. I have this setup on my stage 2 Octy VRS and on the road or when doing track days it's awesome. Totally consistant braking with zero fade lap after lap. Please note will not fit under standard mk1 octy spiders without spacers. I opted for larger 18 inch diameter wheels without spacers.

Thanks for the reply bud. These are the ones I've got that i thought were lcr ones as advertised but from looking online they look like 993 turbo fronts. I'm just after confirmation if you have any idea of what calipers they actually are.
