My wife has a fabia Monte Carlo and I think it is a very good little car I'm currently driving a mk6 golf gti. I've looked at a octavia vrs and I'm impressed wouldn't mind having a look at the scout model as well. I only do 5000 miles a year so I'm undecided on petrol or diesel. I own my gti and the salesman offered cash back on a pcp deal. What are your thoughts on pcp or hp. I keep my cars normally 5 years but the last 2 have only been 18 mths. I'm sure if I change it will be a keeper because of boot space. Your thoughts would be of great assistance Charlie

Depend on the deals they are offering. What's the finance rate on HP?

 

TBH cashback for PCP isn't ideal as you end up paying interest on the whole loan - unless you can beat the loan % with investments?

Hp rate is what the skoda main dealers are offering right now

Just looked at one pcp quote and it was 7.3

Still think you'll have trouble finding a >10k investment giving 3.5% NET so, I'd add on the servicing and extended warranty and plough the rest back in & off the finance deal.
