Thought I'd share my current oil consumption for the last 10 months/11,410 miles. Not as bad as some!

 

Yes certainly likes the black stuff, owned a mk1 used nothing between services does the fsi use oil to any degree.

I change the oil in mine every 10k,mine used about a litre & a half between oil changes when i bought it with 11k on the clock,now its on 57k & it uses less than a litre between oil changes,5 litres per 10k does seem a bit excessive yet within tolerances  at least you dont need to carry out a oil change,just change the filter!
