Hey guys. Just ended up buying the Skoda I went to see today as put in the previous post. 2007 56 Reg Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0 TFSI in electric blue. 66k FSH. I'm the second owner. Just drove it back on the motorway 125 miles managed to get 38 MPG, that's with giving it stick. Absolutely amazed by the comfort and drive. Never thought about getting a Skoda before but I think I won't ever look back now hopefully. Was gob smacked by the change of gears the response of the car steering etc. Really really happy with it!

welcome to the vRS club.

You have a few options, depending on how well you get on with the neighbours, ignore them, take them for a spin (which will instantly change their opinion) or tell them where to go!

if you're not taxing it even if its just until the end of the month you'll probably still have to sorn it, otherwise the dvla might send you a nasty letter demanding money!

Oh ok. I might have to sorn it on Monday and then before the end of the month get tax for it.

With the rules changing at the beginning of this month about not being able to transfer tne tax with the car I don't know what you need to do, but its worth finding out now rather than potentially get a nasty surprise on the 1st of November. How did you get on regarding the cambelt?

I've not decided yet. But most likely will go with the local indy coz he offers 1 year warranty with the cambelt and alot cheaper than the stealers!
