SMF conversion happiness

Featured Replies

My car is the 105bhp tdi and has just covered 86k. Had fitted a valeo smf flywheel and clutch fitted by an independent garage last week, what a transformation in the way the car can be driven.Just smooth pick up, no vibrations in the 1000-1200 rpm band and as a bonus, fuel consumption seems to be a few mpg better, down to fewer gearchanges I suppose. Thanks to forum members praising smf conversions on this engine, I eventually took the plunge and so far have no regrets.

Glad to hear another successful SMF conversion. I also had the Valeo 4P Kit. Unfortunately mine continues to have a clutch judder. I just live with it now.
