100MPH - tribute to 1.8TSi engine

Featured Replies

OK, it's not big and it's not clever, but I MIGHT have  :notme: touched 3 figures on the way home tonight, completing a journey that normally takes 19mins in 13.

That's not my point, though.  The engine was still as smooth as a silky thing and barely audible even at that speed. I had a re-map to 202bhp recently and it really showed it tonight - the breathing at the top end is awesome: clean, clean revving all the way to the red line.

This is one hell of an engine.

Private road, of course, so it doesn't matter.

The Superb can hold 3 figures all day long in my eyes on private roads... It's effortless. Hip hip hooray! :)

It's a mile munching machine!

at those speed Leon, on your private road , you'd need a petrol station every mile

How much do you think the remap has taken off your 0-60 time Ned?

I couldn't say, Jake, as to get the quoted 0-60 times, you have to drive it like a drag racer.  I usually change up before 3000rpm, below which point I wouldn't say it's that different from standard.  It's when you floor it from that point on that things start to happen; overtaking prowess is what it's about for me, not being first away from the lights.
