Hi, hoping someone can help with this.

 

I have a 2010 Octavia estate vRS and the rear passenger side door won't lock and the electric window won't work. I have it booked into my local garage for them to have a look at it but was wondering if anyone here could help/had a similar problem.

My vRS has an issue with NSR window, motor works but window doesn't go down, a bit of pressure applied by hand and the window drops to where the motor has stopped. Contacted my VAG specialist garage and they think it's just the regulator. It's going in on Sat 6th Dec.

 

Is this a similar issue?

While the regulator sounds favourite for you, its more likely the OP has a broken wire feeding the door controller.  Certainly worth checking the door grommet first or getting a VCDS scan.
