Park assist error

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Today I tried to park in a very tight place. I was reversing slowly when I heard a long beeeep. I thought that I hit something so I get out of the the car to check...there was nothing near the car or near the sensors. Back in the car I saw that the parking sensors button is blinking in orange. I tried to use park assist and is saying that it is not available for the momment. What can it be?

I had something similar happen. When I checked around the car there was a wet leaf stuck to the FNS sensor.  I removed it and all been OK since.  Not saying it's that as you'd have noticed but it can happen.

Ive had similar with my current passat (same system).... At one point i had one of the sensors showing permanent red whenever i selected reverse.... It self corrected after a few days

It seems that the 4 side sensors are not working at all...is not only the park assist. This is a very very strange behaviour...

Water ingress in the sensor? Try blowing hard or using compressed air / air duster near to the sensor and see if any water residue appears. Once water has evaporated they usually work ok.

I visited the dealer today. It seems that because of the heavy rain or snow on the car the parking sensor gets unbalanced. The dealer told me that this is a known problem and skoda recommends a software reset each time it happens. All I hope is...no rain or snow :)

I'm having a similar problem is it only the dealer that can do a software reset?
