Auxiliary Belt Damper snapped again!

Featured Replies

Hello

I wonder if anyone has come across this problem. The auxiliary Belt Damper has snapped on the bracket on the engine. First time it snapped was 12 months ago and almost 6 months later same thing has happened. Both times were replaced with new genuine parts. It's a mk1 2004 1.9 agr engine. I don't know if it's the alternator pulley seizing up or some mass vibration caused it.

Change the alternator pulley.  Common fault and experienced by many who don't change the pulley, then just keep replacing the tensioner time and time again.
