Inlet Manifold and EGR Blank.

Featured Replies

Car is a 2007 vRS tdi and I wondered if there was a guide to removing the inlet manifold and cleaning it.

Also I'm going to blank the EGR. What is best reccomended? Just the quick 2min blanking plate on the metal pipe next to the EGR or should I blank it off from the turbo?

Thanks.

you can get a blanking plates with a smaller hole from your local VAG dealer and cost around £2 to £3, if you get an after market blanket plate with no hole in it, it will cause the emissions warning light to come on

When Shark did the remap, they also blanked off the EGR and coded it out.

Seems a good reason to have the map done?

If I blank the EGR I would like it fully blanked not just the plate with the whole in it.

I'm already running a Stage 1 Shark but yes I know they could adapt my map to remove my EML light.

Where is best to blank it from though?

Also inlet manifold cleaning? Any info on that anyone.
