High Oil Temperature?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We had a couple of days away and a long drive (M25 Traffic) of about 5hrs down to Chessington. Flicking through the display I noticed the oil temperature was up at 107, ive never noticed it above 98.

Is that still in the realms of normal or do I need to look at an oil cooler when I get the next lot of work done at Shark?

Thanks guys :)

Seems perfectly normal to me. I've regularly seen 120 degrees oil temp with my pd 130 sport for the last 137k miles with no ill effects.

Happy days :)

107 isn't very high.

Don't worry about it.

Got to boil all that condensation off somehow.

In the old days, corrosion was quite a serious problem. Condensation and combustion blowby would attack bearing surfaces.
