What color wheels for a Black vRS question

Featured Replies

Well i've not seen a wheel thread for at least a week. :P

When i've worn out my current tyres (or maybe before as I did just shy of 7k last year) i'd like to get some new wheels and pimp my ride a bit.

I know a lot of this is subject to people's individual taste but what color wheels do you think go well on a Black Magic Fabia vRS.

I'll probably be sticking to 16" so that narrows my options a little but http://www.rimstock.co.uk/ have a few Team Dynamics to choose from, my current favs being 'motosport' and 'monza'.

My fav color of these two is the Anthacite, i'd keep my 312" brakes silver for this as the wheel centre caps are gold, so i'd just have silver and gold.

Although it's my fav wheel and color would it look :pants: on a black vRS?

Im gonna get anthracite or black wheels when i change mine

Not seen anthacite on a black Fabia, but I did see it on a bug-eye Scooby STI. Looked much better than I thought it would  You can always practice seeing what it will look like by not washing your current wheels for a couple of weeks

um I think that can be arranged. :P

Although i'll have to polish it next week and have it nice and clean for my visit to Forge to have my FMIC fitted.

I've just noticed you have to go through the usa front door at http://www.rimstock.co.uk to get the Anthracite ones, damn I expect thats going to be an import job.

I think Black would be too much on a black car, but atleast you wouldn't have to wash them?

Maybe Chrome for that extra Pimp/bling effect?

Best thing to do is have a go with photoshop, or ask someone to do it for you, see what looks good and what doesn't.

Go for 17's though ;) you know you want to really Gary!

I'll probably go off the idea by next week, I just like looking at wheels for some reason. :D

Not sure about 17's though, 16's look big enough and I want to keep away from the whole rollerskate look, I'm sure I read someone the other day who thought the handling took a downturn on 17's, although this doesnt seem to be a general line of opinion.

On the standard setup then 17's do feel weird but with the eibach spring & dampers it is very good!

but if I start looking at 17's as well my brain will implode as that widens my choice by about ten fold.

To run 17's don't you need to have a smaller depth tyre therefore making the ride even more 'hard'. ?

17's improved my handling and traction, 16's look to small for the arches

How about lime green

Black wheels on a black car look horny!

My Old MK2 Valver:

It looked the mutts nuts till some blind bint in a Corsa Killed it for me :thumbdwn: Beatch!

Does'nt do it for me. Mind you dont get arrested driving round with a hard on !!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I think silver, dark silver effect or gunmetal finish would look best thats what i'm going to go for, black wheels on a black car looks rubbish in my opinion ! :thumbdwn: i've seen a few horrible examples !

Dark wheels on a black car dont work im my opinion.

Its why I sold my Leon Cupra R wheels on.

Just beware, the rims may not fit with 312mm brakes... check the spoke clearance and inside clearance first :)

What about black with silver rims, still :pants: on a black car ?

Konig make some real nice wheels.

Yummy. :P

Looks like the 'freefall' and 'Holes Graphite' come in a 16" too, if I decide not to go for 17".... shame they don't list the offsets.

Get some 17" Octy RS wheels and have them powder coated black. They look utterly indecent on a black car

Everybodys different. I've got black wheels on black and like the look. Somebody last week was suggesting black wheels with silver detailing they sent me a link but I cant find it. They looked good.

I went for black to be different and also save around :) 4kg per wheel unsprung weight. In theory should go better. Look for lightweight wheels in whatever style you fancy.
