Headlight gap

Featured Replies

Noticed today that the gap between the headlight and the bumper on the drivers side is bigger than the passenger. What ever I try it won't sit the same. Any ideas?

Doesn't the headlamp receiver tray sit on a bit of a metal bracket? I think they are tweekable.

Or is the bumper itself slightly twisted? Has it had a bump?

Mine is similar. Perhaps not quite so noticeable. I've stopped looking at it.

I had similar when I took my headlights out. It hadn't quite clipped in correctly.

Glad I'm not alone! On drivers side also. Not a clue how to fix it.

Mine was like your drivers side fits tight now, you have to just make sure its on the cradle right, could the cradle be damaged even the passenger one is a bigger gap than mine.

The more you look at the picture looks like bumpers had a tap, would throw it all out. If it was mine i would take both lights out ,check all the fittings are tight and check the light cradles are doing what they are supposed to.

What is the bumper fitting like to the wings do they seem larger gaps or just normal.

The cradle seems oki. Also bumper gaps and fitment is good.

From looking on ebay. There is a metal mount under the plastic one too. So wonder if it's damaged?

It's made a bit of difference. When it stops raining I need to move the plate forwards as it's sat far back

I had to replace the headlight mount thats bolted to the car on my octavia as it was all siezed up & i broke it trying to get my headlight out,i had to adjust the new one a couple of times to get the headlight to sit correctly in the wing.
