Facelift Maxidot in a Pre-Facelift

Featured Replies

Not a skoda, but I think it would work the same

I just fitted a new style Cluster (from a 2010 golf plus) into a 2007 Golf GT

Parts required Cluster (Scirocco or Golf Plus)
Adaptor Loom
2x new transponders

That's prety cool.

So now we just need someone willing to buy a FL maxidot for you to try and fit into a pre-FL Octavia!

I'm currently on a mission to find one so that we can give it a shot!

I assume there would be issues with PD engines?

Or I guess you would have to find one from an early FL that came with the 1.9 PD105?

I don't think so

Cluster came from a Golf Plus 1.6CR TDI

Golf GT 2.0TDI PD Engine

That's strange.

I always thought CR and PD weren't interchangeable.

maybe if the dealer codes them, or if you do it through the adaption channel

I just remember when Brimma bought some from a PD car for his CR vRS and Shark performance couldn't get them to work.

He sold them to someone with a PD car and they get them working straight away.

Well impressed you got FL clocks working in a pre-FL car... if I didn't have maxidot already fitted (thank you again BTW!) then I would be doing this!

I think Shark used the adaption channel to program the keys  to retrofit the maxidots

I would be very interested in this in my petrol pre fl..... [emoji106]

I'd love to have a maxi dot in my 2005 pd105

Anyone know the part numbers for a facelift maxidot petrol cluster? Or how to easily determine maxidot when the unit is off?
