Window tint Recomendations

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a window tinter that they have used, or seen there work.

Happy to travel to the right place except Scotland.

(Sorry Scotland just too far !).

Any members currently in the profession? happy to increase your wealth.

Thanks

A bloke nick named "Tinter" on UK-MKIVS.net did mine (and pretty much everyone I know's!)... He's dirt cheap and does a fantastic job.

He used to work for a very very well respected Tinting place in the Midlands, but left to set up business with his colleague.

They now do tints, using Lumar tint (and another one I can't remember, but they're both "Industry Standard") for under

Can someone give me the phone no or e-mail for this guy as he sounds really good.

I would like to get my new VRS done asap.

Thanks

Gaz

He did my Octy aswell and i have no complaints at all,can email you some pictures of my car if you want, just PM me your address.

Once the Boxster is sold and i have either my R32 or Focus ST i'll be getting him to do my windows again.

Hmmm, interesting - it's something I've been thinking about for some time. If a few of you get together, will the price change?

Would look to get more of a 'mid smoke' than proper dark tints. I presume he offers different tint levels?

I'd also need to check with my darling insurance company; see if they'd like to screw any more unecessary extra premium from me

Steve

I doubt he'll go any cheaper than £150... That is already VERY cheap.

I had 30% on the rear screen and 50% on the sides... Not too dark at all.

I had 30% all round on my old Polo, and to be fair, I thought it was a bit too dark.

Phil, and Phil, we never did get this done

Lol...

The good thing about the darker rear screen (and it's not THAT dark to be fair) is that it cuts down on light coming into the car, so makes the rest of the windows look slightly darker than they actually are (from the outside).

The benefit is that you can see out of the side windows easier with the lighter shade, but they still look good.

Having a darker rear screen also cuts down a bit on glare from cars driving behind you, and the tint also keeps your car a bit cooler in the summer.

Contact details of this guy please.
