Featured Replies

I wonder how much work this took, if it a true engine transplant

Wouldn't want to drag race it would ya :D

That looks cheeky :)

I would think 4, maybe 5 grand all in. Can't be too dissimilar to the 20vt conversion for the MkII Golf GTI, no?

JBS have one nearly finished on a fun. There's alot less room than a Mk2 from what I've seen, especially for the intercooler.

hmmm Skoda Felicia Turbo estate :rubchin:

Go on Ross - you know you want to!!!

mmmm wonder what brake upgrade he fitted!!!

I suspect they will have tried to shorhorn in the matching subframe and hubs for that engine so they could use the same driveshafts (like I had to change)

Therefore I guess with VW group type hubs they could use 312s?

The JBS fun has taken them alot of time and hard graft, they had that one started before I bought my Fun over six months ago iirc.

I know how much that kinda graft costs so i doubt it will happen to mine unless the numbers come up.

depends on how the suspension mounts......not sure on a Felicia! Could be like the MK3 Polo and be crazy weird!

 Indeed. At least I had the guarentee of the same chassis mounting points and the same mount for the bottom of the suspension strut.

The Felicia is unique as far as I know. The engine does however mount pendulum style like the Octavia/Fabia with a dog bone (ish) mount under the gearbox.

The fun at JBS is using a hybrid golf vr6 brake setup.

So 5-6 grand on a felicia or 10-11 grand for a fabia vrs?

Hehe my felicia may not be sold yet

Hmm now im interested :)

Got a full front set up for a Fabia vRS and Mk3 Ibiza Cupra here, wonder if something can work.

Im still looking to fit a MK3 Polo G40 engine into a Felicia Pick Up .............. Its got to be easier than doing the above !! ?? !!

Any Ideas ?

Does anyone know of a reasonable 1300 Pick Up for sale at a reasonable price ?

Oh yeah , or can a supercharger kit be fitted to the original 1300 engine in the felicia ?

A supercharger or turbo can be phsically fitted to just about any engine theoretically.

I'd speak to dubsport i have vague fuzzy memories of them having built a 2.9 VR6 felicia i recently got rid of my old max powers or i'd have looked it up for you. Most of the issues of transplants are space and if theres enough room for a V6 an ickle 4 pot will fit.

i wonder how fast that baby goes. i wanna know how much it cost cause i wanna do up my diesil felicia

the girl that usually gives me lifts to SE meets used to have a VR6 engined mk1 arosa so i think it should fit in a felicia.

Not at all for the work that is envolved.

After seeing what goes in to these conversions I think it represents good value for money.

I order the parts and
