2.0 Pd And 2.0 Cr - How To Establish Whether Dpf Or Not ?

Featured Replies

hello members,

Any way of establishing which vehicle does/does not have a DPF.

My 58 plate 2.0 PD does not, and I don't want to be landed with a DPF on a replacement car

if i buy soon

Thanks very much for any advice. :sun:

If it's a CR it will have a DPF.

The 2.0 PD 140 fitted to the 4x4 and Scout, and the 2.0 PD 170 fitted in the vRS all have a DPF.

The 2.0 and 1.9 PD fitted to all other models do not have a DPF.

look for code 7GG in the options code list in the front of the service book

Thanks very much Softscoop & Skomaz for the quick helpful replies !

Much appreciated :sun:

Just checked again:

7GG is Euro 4 with DPF

7GQ is Euro 5 with DPF

My 2012 FL CR vRS DSG has the code  -

7MG = Emission standard EU5

and it does have a DPF.

Just look for the  oily soot! a DPF car will have spotless exhaust as it is burnt off at very high temps, and non dpf oily

Looks brand new still........Like mine!!
