I have an 06 Fabia vrs. I guess my engine code is BLT. I called Jabba sport asking if they could delete my egr light and they said no we can't. Can only do it on older engine.

What do I do now ?

Sorry I was a bit vague. I called and asked for a price on remap. I then asked if they could map out the egr code during the map. And they said no as it is electronic unlike the old engine.

Sounds like they didn't want you as a customer for some reason as this is something every mapper can do, ASZ or BLT engine.

Actually, they can't do it. I know of at three people, including myself, who have been told the same thing.

I suspect that JabbaSport's remapping skills are possibly not their strongest tuning skill set. I think they buy their remaps in. Seriously.

If anything goes wrong with bits you bought from them, no-one is ever available to take your call. And don't expect them to phone you back if anything goes wrong with something they sold you.

Of course, they'll take on a halo project like BossFox's Citigo, but those are few and far between. What they're really wanting to do is sell you parts - anti-roll bars, air filter cones etc. that's fine, but don't expect them to dirty their hands with a bit of remapping on a Mk I Fabia.

Shark are the best company for remaps.

Faboka is well known on here for his too.

Never had an issue mapping out the EGR on a BLT.

My GTB1756, decat, EGR delete etc is pretty much smoke free with a map from Fabooka. I get absolutely zero soot on the back of the car!

But they didn't say they were busy, they said they couldn't do it.

If you don't want to do something that's painfully easy for someone competent then by all means quote a F-off price and if the customer wants it done then it's worth your while to do it, if they don't want to pay over the odds then they'll go elsewhere, but to say you can't do it is almost inviting ridicule.

I actually don't think they can do it. They told me the same when I wanted my EGR removed because it was leaking oil. I just bought a custom manifolded 1749 from xman750 and kept the EGR for the anti-shudder. Shark did say at the time that they could sort it, but SWMBO likes Robinsons in Norwich to do the work, so they mapped out the EGR. It works a treat.

My car is a BLT engined car and they removed (Jabba) the EGR light from the dash when I had my custom map by them. I'm running Darksides EGR delete kit.

Does seem a little odd. Try ringing them again.

That's the one, I was pretty sure a firm like them would be able to remap those engined VRS models
