New Vrs Se Owner

Featured Replies

Hi

Just joined after picking up my Fabia VRS SE, its a 1 owner car with FSH and 56k.

Alloys need refurbed and there is a tiny rust scab at the bottom of the drivers door from a big stonechip snd also the drivers mirror has a small graze on it.

Apart from that it's totally mint. I will check the paint out better after a hand wash tomorrow and if it needs it, I will put it into the detailers after winter and the bit of paint has been done.

Cheers

Welcome mate.. get yourself a photo bucket account and get some pictures up :)

Thanks Rhys, after 5 hrs of cleaning today I noticed rust blisters on rear arches, both front door bottoms and tailgate. They are small but it will go into the shop through winter to sort them as well as the scuffed mirror and stone chipped bonnet.

Looks lovely fair play!! When I get a day off and some tidy weather I want to get some decent shots of mine as I finished it as it got dark!

Hope you get it all sorted, lovely example fair play!!

What's the mileage?

56k with perfect service history, all done at the correct times and belt and brake fluid fine when it should as well.

1 owner since new as well.

You're on to a winner there mate.. bought mine a month ago, 36k with fssh and cambelt.. absolutely love it, paid more than I should have but worth every penny!!

Nothing beats hanging off the back of scoobys and evos when they can't pull away ;)

Hi and welcome mate :-)

Had to do a double take as your reg is the same first 4 digits on my SE lol

Im in EK, whereabouts in sunny Scotland are you?

I paid reasonable money but not top money as some are well into the £6k's and I wasn't paying that much.

I also wanted a local car as sick of travelling for " mint " cars only to find sheds !!

I'm in Uphall do not far easy from you in EK :-)

Taking the car to a bodyshop in Whitburn for a quote next week as well as finding out from the warranty side with Skoda.

Then once I get an answer from Skods I can see what I'm doing with the paint.

Cheers guys

Chris

I used to be through in Uphall a lot getting bits for my old Kawasakis lol.

Quite a few folk have tried claiming on the paint warranty with Skoda UK and have had no luck, let me know how you get on.

Keep an eye on the lacquer of rear spoiler, seems to be a lot of SE's suffer from the lacquer peeling myself included.

Spoiler seems fine I'm sure Skoda will not pay out but you need to try

I have no idea at all with bodyshop costs but I'm sure it will be around the grand mark as a guess

Just keep an eye on it dude, mine was fine till 75k then in a matter of months it was goosed. Fingers crossed you got a good one.

Is it standard or modded? You got any plans for it?

  • Author

It's staying standard I think as I'm no youngster :-)

When things need replaced I will upgrade them with better parts but I've 2 mk1 golfs as well which get a fair big of spends on them.

The VRS is my new daily to save money from my leased Bmw when it goes back next year.

What number is it?

Its 809
