The other thing people fail to clock is that cars that have recirc valves as standard, are usually meant to have recirc valves if you upgrade - as the ECU accounts for the extra air being dumped back into the intake and ups the fuelling according to prevent the mix from being too lean. If you vent it atmospherically, you're wasting petrol, the only sideline benefit is that you can enjoy the odd flameout if your exhaust is a freeflow one and is hot enough - my SX used to do this all the time :D

Not to mention the advantages of that excess fuel washing half the engine oil off the cylinder bores every full chat upchange!

Yes. He's talking out of his **** and obivously has

a) more money than sense

B) no idea how cars work
