Random hole

Featured Replies

Just fitted some new led interior bulbs and whilst doing it I found this (rear light):

The festoon bulb has melted the plastic housing.

Was it the original bulb?

If so then this is a clear warranty job, an obvious manufacturing defect.

I'd argue a potential safety issue too, good job it wasn't closer to the headlining.

it might have been the original bulb, it is a 56 plate octy though so i doubt skoda would honor any warranty on it.

The bulb didnt have any evidence of melting so it might have been a previous bulb so before I bought the car

Have you had the car from new and what sort of light did you remove?
