Injector Failure

Featured Replies

I have just bought an Octavia Elegance Est 2ltr CR TDI was so pleased with the car for the first 340 miles of my ownership(6k 0n the clock) until it stopped in a cloud of white smoke on the a27!! with no power and an engine sounding like a bag of spanners. Then had it taken back to Dealer I got it from, they diagnosed the problem as no4 injector!!

Having had to suffer 6 injector failures of my PD Passat, I couldnt believe I am starting the same way with the Skoda.

Is this a problem anyone else has had or am I just an injector jinx?? Will there be any on going problems with the dpf or cat with the amount of unburnt diesel which caused the white smoke??

Have asked the dealer to change the car or am I over reacting??

I only know of the PD engines with injector problems, let's hope this isn't going to start again. As for the dpf, I'm not clued up on that subject.

At least a common rail engines injectors are a quick change compared to the PD engines.

It's a problem for all manufacturers, you can get rogue injectors
