4 problems or 1?

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a problem with the digital temp sensor under the rev counter. At first was always showing -45 to -15 so I replaced the sensor and it seemed ok then after a short drive the problem happened again. At the same time I have had a problem with my fuel gauge showing empty and the replacement fixed this problem then likewise after a short while if dropped t empty again. I have had all the connections and wires checked and they sem ok and have been suggested it could be the dash clock. Don't know if this is related but constantly within a short space of time from starting I get 3 what I believe to be warning beeps from the car. Also when the temp drops to minus the car heating system appears to be putting out excessive heat, even with the temp control turned to blue cool.

Please help

Thank you

Has you car been hit in the front side? The exterior air temp sensor can be found by following the horn wiring. You can check the wiring continuity from behind the instrument cluster (it's pin 31) to the sensor. It is not possible to calibrate the system, as far as I know. Also, scan it for fault codes with a VAG interface, if there is something wrong with the cluster, you might get an error code.
