Confused about the changing of timing belt

Featured Replies

Hello

I am new to cars so confused about this timing belt.

Here are the pictures of the timing belt (looks similar all around) I got in my first recently bought car. Ran 10000 Miles (16000 Km). Model 2007.

The reason I could not find out if it was changed some way that the owner passed away and his son does not know anything about it.

Should I change it right away or wait for few months, because would not runing the car too much. Max 1000Km/month.

thanks

If its 2007, even if the belt was changed on schedule (4yrs at this point iirc) in 2011 it is nearly due one again (2015). Better to change it, if your doing it yourself its not that expensive either.

Better safe than sorry mate, get it done, if it snaps you'll lunch the engine!
