Reg SE07VRS

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anyone has seen this reg as I have a vrs se and thought it would be a nice reg looked on dvla and it's not for sale also checked mycarcheck and askmid both confirmed its not is use

Can you reuse a old reg ?

No, once attached to a car then if that car dies the plate goes with it to the graveyard, this is to stop cloning and or/ringing of other cars.

The only exception is if it was purchased as a cherished reg, then it maybe put on retention and the car would get its original plate back, or a suitable date plate before scrapping.

If you look at a V5 today it will usually say some like "Non transferable registration mark"

From what I can tell, SE07 VRS has never been issued but maybe on a retention certificate somewhere.

It could be from a written off car and I'm not too sure if you can reuse the plate in that case, you might be able to once the car has been destroyed and all the admin work has been carried out.
The other possibility is someone could own it and just not be using it for what ever reason. But I don't think you'd have any way of getting their details to contact them as it would be an invasion of privacy for the DVLA to pass this information on.

Unfortunately pal the only thing you could do is ring the DVLA and enquire if the registration is being held or is currently in use, my car check isn't always 100%.

I have googled it and it throws up sightings of the reg on a Skoda on forums but not much so I presumed it had been written off so did think I mite be able to use it again

I'm sure not long 5 or so years ago I saw the plate on a blue Fabia on the road. I have not seen it again. It is the perfect plate for the car.
