Porsche Big brake Kit

Featured Replies

My mechanic friend has just taken a kit off an audi TT. It comes with brackets, calipers, discs(floating with rotors) and pads.

He is after £350 collected.

Pics to follow soon, he just called me and asked if I knew anyone so I've posted here.

Located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Size?

TT-RS kit is 370mm and needs 18" rims.

Its a mk1 TT and I think its 996 calipers.

He described them as f***ing massive.

Will get proper specs later as he is taking them off at the moment.

Im very interested pending seeing photos and spec of what they actually are. Sure they are 4 pots but might need new brackets to fit mk2 octy vrs

He described them as f***ing massive.

Haha! Official measurements: 'F***ing massive'

This is one of the calipers. The discs are 330mm. He has much to learn. That's not massive ;)

Pic of the discs. Clearly 1 piece rather than bells and rotors. Sorry...

Probably a bit cheaper and easier to replace though in the long run.

It's just dirty Clive. Thanks for the input though. Noted.

It looks like a 323mm disc,maybe?

Decent discs will be another £200 odd?

Yeah 330mm discs are about £145 a pair (pagid drilled). Shame they werent bells and rotors or prob would have had them despite only being 4 pots. Will stick to my plans of 6 pots with 360mm+ discs in the new year ! Can anyone tell me out of interest, if these are off a mk1 Audi TT then would the brackets fit an Octy Mk2 Vrs? I might be getting mixed up.somewhere and thinking they would fit Mk4 VW?

The discs have a very small lip according to my friend Bill (mechanic) and the pads are around 30% worn. They are 330mm discs.

They are mk4 fitment, I am not sure if this works with mk5, I would guess not.

Can't believe these haven't sold ! Being Porsche they are monoblock machined out 1 piece for superior rigidity. An awesome upgrade and a bargain at this price. I have them fitted to my Octy. Consistant braking lap after lap.

Just a quick query... would these be a straight fit on a Mk1 fabia with 17" bbs rw alloys?

Think you would need 18's to make them fit

They will need 5mm spacer if you are running 17inch spiders. Don't know about RW's you would have to try.

Cheers Pete.

Price lowered to £300 collected. Bargain.

If no one else buys them then I will and will stick them on eBay!

Does seem like a bargin!

I'd have bought these if they fitted under my wheels, i suspect that's the only thing putting peope off having to have 18" alloys or smaller with spacers etc

Hmmmmmmm

Do it Barrie...

I'm not sure they'll fit under the rims on the Roomster.

What are you running?

OEM Kentaur alloys as summers, 17" spiders for track and 16" Audi Speedlines for winters :( aaaaaaaaaaaaand I really don't have the cash either.
