Double Bed

Featured Replies

I remember the seats in the old 1970's Skodas were supposed to lie flat to sleep on.

I've always wanted to try that with my Superb. Well today came the chance after a trip to IKEA. The flat packs were not going to fit. So off came the passenger headrest. Seat furthest setting forward, and squab set to lowest. Then let the seatback down.

And guess what. Yup, the top of the back of the seat just slid in front of the rear seat squab, making an almost flat load surface, or fairly comfortable bed!

Bet there's not many cars that'll do that. :)

(BTW Mine doesn't have the later folding rear seat.)

Yup i've kipped in one before now at a car show as I was to ****ed to put up my tent, lovely sleep.

Smelt a bit funny in the morning though.

I have slept in the Fabia on a couple of occasions... the only problem being the seats are a little too supportive to get comfy lying down... :thumbdwn:

And the alarm goes off too! :P

You , or the car?

slept in the octy twice, though not overnight. was very comfy for me.

not sure about "double bed" though.....handbrake & gear **** surely get in way.....

best kip i ever had in a vehicle was a truck with two bunks........thats another story.. ;)

edit: speaking of double beds though, think that will be where i'm likely to spend the day. :o

The car because of me I think, BBQ and beer = pungent aroma.
