Hi guys I have one of these cheap scanners that I used for a couple of years on my Vauxhall Astra. I know they only give generic codes but it had used to point me in the right direction if I had a problem with the car.

 

Will it do the same job on a Skoda when plugged into the OBD11 port or will it not work at all? It does have a 16 pin plug on it. Didn't want to plug it in and try in case it did any damage.

Yes should be okay. I've got one ad use it on mine.
