Hi folks,

 

its been a while since i have been on this forum since I sold my octavia, however, i am needing some photo wizards to help me catch a criminal.

 

Cutting a long story short a car hit the rear of mine whilst i was turning into a junction, the driver drove off and my dash cam managed to capture some footage of the white audi that caused a lovely dent in my rear arch.

 

I wonder if its possible someone can enhance a screen shot in an attempt to gain the car registration that hit me? being dash cam footage and the angle in which the it captured makes it difficult to read.

 

The police are not very helpful in the fact all i can tell them is its a white audi male driver female occupant.

It would be better to have some of the actual footage at original resolution rather than a snapshot, I have found the video is often significantly clearer than a still taken from the video.  I use Registrator Viewer and you can zoom in on the video.

Yeah that might be a better idea. I've just switched computer off I will upload the footage somehow. Probably just on you tube?

You tube will fuzz it up.  Dropbox, google drive etc. may be a better option.

have you really got your dash-cam shooting in 360p? need to get that bad-boy ramped up a notch.. or three...!

 

I'm not sure there's much to be pulled from that video at that setting tho...

360p not that I am aware off. It is an older blackvue 380 model I think. I will check to confirm but the footage is usually very clear.

The blade wheels match the spec. The car was registered in Birmingham if that helps.

Gregie, did you get this resolved. This car seems to have been abandoned in downside village in the past few weeks. There is damage to the front right of it. Googled the ref and found this post. Police have been called.

Car could've been wrapped white too so black car underneath could be right.
