Remapping kit

Featured Replies

I tried Super too but had no effect.

I think a remap is probably the only way to get rid of the flat spots, 97/99 octane doesn't on mine.

Anybody got the Rapid remapped?

Its a widely used engine - there must be lots of Polo's Fabia's and Ibiza's 1.2TSi that have been.

Having said that over the last 18 months there have been one or two threads about it here in the Rapid section and a couple of members said they were having it done.

RiderXXL has had his 1.6TDi done (147bhp) I think.

I was going to but then mine got written off and now I'm trying to get the new one to where the old one was.... Half way through cleaning it properly!!!!

I spoke with SuperChips and they suggested the same as revo in terms of power increase and they're all a much of a muchness...

ISTR Revo offering 144bhp (on Super I expect) for the 1.2TSi. That sounds fun in a 1.2 family wagon  :o

REVO maps are quite aggressive aren't they? Or so I've heard.

Does aggressive mean no flat spots? -Gimme some of that.

If they are claiming 144bhp with no flat spots then yes please!

I use Tesco momentum fuel anyway, just a habit from my previous car.

No Revo wouldn't make those maps. They have a great name.

This was the point I had got to to! What's the difference and which is more reliable and better value? Also who to buy from... I saw in Germany many companies offer warranties with their products!

I haven't done it but both Brisky and SeatCupra users seem to prefer remaps over plug-ins, in the majority of opinions expressed.

Sometimes you can have both - Synergy/RoverRon say their plug-in box works with factory or after market maps.
