Joe's Octavia vRS PD170

Featured Replies

Thought I would start a Project thread as I've had my vRS a couple of months now. I've had lots of cars before now as you can see in my signature, but my vRS is my favourite so far :)

This is how I looked the day I bought it

Downsized the alloys from 18s to 17s, Kept with the Zenith style but wanted Black wheels and prefer less of a low profile tyre.

Looking forward to seeing how your lights look!

How long dud you cook the lights for? I've got a spare set for my mk1 that I'm doing this with.

Looks good mate!

I had my Fan oven on about 180˚c and had them in there for about 4 mins in the end I think.

Very smart that bottom picture! Inspired to do abit to mine, did you just rattle can the Zeniths?

Easy to split and put back together the headlights?

++ what paint did you use for grill? And what for the headlights?

Thanks :) I bought the Zeniths from eBay freshly powder coated :)

Headlights are not too bad to do, I've done quite a few sets on various different cars so I'm quite practised at it. In the oven for 5-10 mins then a lot of careful prying.

I used paint and lacquer that come in a pack together from Skoda, means you get a dead on match.

For the headlights I used some matt black plasticote.

You get the paint from dealer or from a site mate?

From a dealer, they ordered it in for me as it wasn't in stock but I had to wait for the badges to come in anyway so didn't really matter
