Boost spike? Log inside.

Featured Replies

Hey, This is my first ever 1.8t engine. The car is booked into badger 5 for a diag run on the 20th but I managed to get my friend to log a run for me using vcds as I was curious.

The car seems to come on boost with a huge spike, dies off then feels flat to the redline.

I have attached a graph of boost vs rpm with actual and specified, 3rd gear pull.

Can you tell me what you think?

Kind Regards

Rob

There might be split vacuum lines, bad N75 valve and other vacuum related components.

In the badger you must trust

That's been remapped. A standard map will request only 0.6 bar/8.7 psi across the board. Maybe it's a poor map that asks for a huge aggressive spike to give the impression that you have a stinking quick car. As said, Badger Bill will sort that properly.

That looks like a revo map to me, or a race n75

Mine has a 25psi spike around that rpm

I have a stage 2 revo and a race n75

Thanks all, car had revo stickers all over it. I changed the maf as it wasnt a bosch one, the dv as it was ruined and the n75 for the newest one and its loads better. Looking forward to bill working his magic and seeing if anything else is wrong.
