Just got my new Superb Elegance 2.0 TDI DSG.

 

I decided to upsize from 205/55/16 Good year NCTs stock tires to 225/50/16 Yoko DB ES501.

 

I am quite happy with the result ( Much better grip and Soft ride) but would like to know if some one is already using the same ?? Will it have any adverse effect on suspension??

 

 

No reason it should have an adverse effect you just have a bit more width of tyre.

Does the steering feel the same?

Steering feels much connected and cornering also has been inspiring. Ride feels plush compared to stock.I did drive appx 100kms on stock before changing my tires.

I am quite happy about my decision. But was bit worried if suspension will take beating due to wider contact. Certainly the upsize is well within 2% limit.
