Now I'm having the exact same issue after swapping my gear box.

I put the car on its wheels today and there is no power steering. It works in 1 spot snd I can move the steering wheel about 5-10cm and I can feel the PAS working, but that's it.

Where is the steering rack earthed?

What about Air Volk motors in Blackwood.

Where is the steering rack earthed?

It's not I don't believe. Not directly anyway.

Trying to think what earth connections you'd disturb. This sounds like a job for Taylor who's stripped a few lately lol

its earthed as one down behind the passenger headlamp with a few other systems iirc

Yeah I mean there's no actual earth strap on the rack?

Yeah I mean there's no actual earth strap on the rack?

Not on the two Fabias I've worked on.

Figure it out, both these cars have had the gearbox out, one for an engine change, one for a gearbox swap, something has been snapped, crushed or broken, something easily missed.

I sincerely hope not.

Guess I'll have to have yet another look. :(

Checked and tried every single Earth tonight. Just got in.

Found one loose earth, tightened it up, no change.

Changed the rack tonight. Fixed the problem. :)
